Job Description

Purpose of the Role:
To lead and further develop Sobis operations in the BELUX market in alignment with the companys vision values and principles. The role aims to maximize the commercial potential of Sobis portfolio in the region while ensuring full compliance with local legislation. The position carries full responsibility for fulfilling the companys legal obligations within the territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance: Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with GxP (GCP GVP HCC) standards and local regulations.
  • Market Access: Lead and manage market access and patient access processes as a critical driver for growth maintaining a strong understanding of relevant legislation and acting accordingly.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including local authorities healthcare providers the Ministry of Health (MoH) decision-makers payers business partners physicians patient organizations and consultants.
  • Revenue & Sales: Achieve ambitious revenue targets and sales objectives.
  • Business Development: Actively contribute to business development initiatives and portfolio selection.
  • Market Research & Strategy: Conduct market research for potential or new products and propose effective product strategies.
  • Organizational Design: Develop and structure the local organization to reflect current and future business potential.
  • Planning & Budgeting: Prepare sales plans forecasts and annual budgets.
  • Product Complaints & Pharmacovigilance: Address product complaints effectively and manage adverse events and pharmacovigilance issues in collaboration with HQ in Stockholm.

Scope of the Role

  • Authority to order services and monitor costs within approved budgets.
  • Authority to propose external consultants and partners.

Principal Interfaces / Relationships

  • Internal: Collaborate with various cross-functional teams within the organization.
  • External: Engage with local authorities healthcare providers the Ministry of Health decision-makers payers business partners physicians patient organizations and consultants.

Qualifications :

Position Qualifications

Education & Learning Experience

  • Required:
    • University degree in a medical or science-based field.
    • Excellent understanding and knowledge of the healthcare market.

Work Experience

  • Mandatory Requirements:
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Belgian pharmaceutical market specifically in rare diseases.
    • In-depth knowledge of the haemophilia market in Belgium.
    • Fluency in French English and Dutch (spoken and written).

Skills & Knowledge

  • Proven experience in multi-stakeholder project management and leadership with a track record of delivering results on time and within budget.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to manage change and operate effectively in uncertain environments.
  • Strong customer relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership effective communication and team collaboration abilities.
