Are you a strategic leader with a passion for enabling people to deliver Asset Management excellence Weve recently made structural changes to elevate Asset Management to an enterprise function integrating with Engineering to better inform asset strategy planning and systems. As such we have an exciting opportunity to join Sunwater as General Manager - Asset Management where youll play the vital role of leading a team that is accountable for developing and delivering asset decision-making frameworks governance requirements data and information requirements and asset planning and maintenance strategies. Working collaboratively across all Sunwater business units to continuously improve our approach to Asset Management.

As General Manager - Asset Management at Sunwater you will:

  • Develop implement review and provide leadership and advocacy for Sunwaters asset management system ensuring alignment to Sunwaters strategic objectives ISO 550001 principles customer service standards and in conjunction with the business and appropriate investment planning activities.
  • Lead the development and delivery of a program of asset plan optimisation which includes developing 5-to-10-year renewal and maintenance plans that meet customer and business needs and practical and efficient maintenance practices to ensure optimal asset performance
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive asset information data set establishing and maintaining requirements for asset information systems asset data capture and lead improvements in asset data reliability and analytics capability to support better decision-making.
  • Lead a performance-based culture motivate a professional team to optimise Sunwaters assets including support functions of asset master data governance fleet services housing critical spares reliability engineering and technical writing.
  • Provide technical support for the Sunwater Enterprise Asset Management system to meet business requirements while aligned with standard industry practice and ISO550001.

We are seeking an exceptional individual with 10 years experience in asset rich industries and experienced developing and implementing asset management concepts strategies and principles. You will hold tertiary qualifications in Engineering or extensive learned experience preferably hold RPEQ and have working understanding of ISO 55000 series for Asset Management or other relevant standards. You will also bring:

  • Technical expertise: Demonstrated ability to develop implement and embed asset management system and strategies including asset management governance reporting and supporting processes
  • Strategic vision: Drive organisational change through exceptional communication establishment of trusted relationships and inspiring action to deliver enterprise-wide impact.
  • Communication skills: Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives.
