The Southeast Health District Babies Cant Wait Program is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the full-time salaried position of Early Intervention Specialistbased in Waycross GA.

As a Early Intervention Specialistwith theSEHD you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.

It is our mission at the Southeast Health District to promote and protect the health of people in Southeast Georgia wherever they live work and play uniting with individuals families and communities to improve and enhance their quality of have clinic locations in 16 counties in Georgia including Appling Atkinson Bacon Brantley Bulloch Candler Charlton Clinch Coffee Evans Jeff Davis Pierce Tattnall Toombs Ware and Wayne counties.

Job Responsibilities

Under general supervision this role provides technical assistance and training within an educational specialty specifically focusing on planning directing and implementing specialty programs. The position involves evaluating the program for compliance with state and federal guidelines ensuring quality service provision and supporting the development and improvement of the Babies Cant Wait Program. Key responsibilities include training and monitoring the quality of services provided by Special Instructors facilitating team meetings and managing payments through the BIBS system. Additionally the role involves monitoring and evaluating compliance with BCW guidelines including conducting quality document reviews through the BCW online system. The selected applicant will conduct reviews of Special Instruction notes provide feedback to Special Instructors during their required quarterly meetings and attend LICC meetings and other community meetings as needed. The selected candidate will also attend required training maintain up-to-date knowledge of the field and carry a caseload as necessary. This position requires strong organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting. The chosen applicant will also participate in marketing the Child Find activities as required by their supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

Masters degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Two years of experience performing work related to area of assignment OR Six years of experience performing work related to area of assignment.
Note: Some positions may require licensure.

Preferred Qualifications
The potential candidate should have a masters degree in Child development early childhood education early childhood special education special education or other closely related field. A minimum of two years of professional experience providing service to children and families or in the administration of a service delivery program for children and families or childrens health.

The potential candidate may have a related masters degree (Resume must include date degree was awarded). Related is defined as at least 20 percent of the credit hours of the transcript must address child development disabilities or family systems. A copy of the candidates full transcript(s) must be submitted with the resume.

DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree diploma licensure etc.
