Based at the Melbourne City campus however may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University or other locations.
About the Position
Youre an experienced and passionate educator with a strong background in legal services and/or conveyancing with both vocational and higher education teaching experience. With a deep understanding of industry standards and an ability to engage diverse student cohorts you bring both expertise and enthusiasm to the classroom. Youre committed to student success consistently delivering high-quality course material and assessments that meet or exceed the vocational and higher education standards.
Your collaborative mindset means you thrive in team environments and enjoy contributing to course development and continuous improvement initiatives. Youre comfortable using modern teaching tools including online delivery platforms and are always looking for innovative ways to enhance learning outcomes. Your professional credibility is underpinned by ongoing industry engagement and a commitment to maintaining vocational competence at the highest level.
Above all youre driven by a genuine desire to inspire and equip students with the practical knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the legal services sector.
To be successful in this position youll have:
Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments. This includes effective presentation and facilitation skills and in the use of flexible teaching methods.
Demonstrated skills and experience in both competency-based assessment and higher education assessment.
Ability in ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence which meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.
Experience in relevant industry and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position.
Capacity to diagnose learning problems in students propose and implement effective solutions.
Ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team.
Demonstrated skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.
Qualifications:
Certificate IV TAE
Bachelor of Law and/or Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing
Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
