Job Description

ING Australias risk division is looking to hire a Manager Retail Credit Risk Portfolio Analytics for our Retail Credit Risk team.

While not a people manager leadership role the position carries significant profile and influences with interactions expected with IBAL EXCO and EXCO-1 as well as senior stakeholders across ING Group including the ING Head of Retail Banking and other senior leaders within ING group.

Given its seniority and profile there is a strong expectation there will be a mentoring / coaching character being demonstrated within the Retail Credit Risk team specifically and within Risk Management function more broadly and within IBAL 1LOD.

The Retail Credit Risk Manager will be responsible for overseeing credit risk data products reporting and portfolio management aspects across the credit life cycle for IBALs retail portfolios including Mortgages Credit Cards Personal Loans and Business Banking.

It requires close collaboration and stakeholder management across key internal business functions include Finance Retail Banking Tribes COO risk and the Data Tribe. Operating at a mid-level within the Organisation the retail credit risk manager is expected to lead with influence bring insight and challenge to cross-functional discussion and actively contribute to the uplift of credit risk practices across the group.

What youll do

  • Define and refine regulatory reporting requirements in accordance with the prudential reporting standards
  • Review and provide sign-off on the implementation of regulatory reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory obligations
  • Oversee and ensure timely accurate and audit-ready submissions of regulatory reports
  • Lead the design specifications and implementation of credit risk data product that support analytical and reporting needs
  • Provide oversight on the data governance ensuring compliance with established frameworks and maintaining data accuracy and integrity
  • Utilize data analysis to support risk-informed business decisions identifying key trends emerging risks and performance insights

What were looking for

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in credit risk or portfolio analytics within banking or broader Financial Services
  • Good knowledge on prudential standards (capital risk management and reporting framework)
  • A numerate background in Finance Mathematics Statistics or similar discipline
  • Strong experience working with SAS Excel Tableau PowerBI
    Ability to act as managerial advisor on professional and technical issues with a view to reaching strategic decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels
  • An ability to work effectively with senior executives
