About the Opportunity:

We are looking for a special kind of person a St Vincents kind of person. Someone who puts compassion connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do.

As a Clinical Nurse (Educator/Quality) youll be part of an experienced engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming professional and supportive care experience for the residents of St Vincents Care Services Carina. This role has a strong focus on continuing quality improvement activities educating staff and assisting in providing direct patient contact when required.

Located just 7 km east of the CBD at Carina and set in a homely community-oriented and friendly environment surrounded by landscaped gardens Vela St Vincents Care Services Carina will deliver outstanding levels of wellbeing and comfort for our residents and a positive uplifting work/life balance for our staff.

Things that work for us:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Nurse Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)

  • A minimum of four years previous experience in aged care setting

  • Advanced clinical skills and exercises extended autonomy of decision making working closely with managers and other senior clinicians.

  • Experience as an educator or in quality improvement would be highly regarded

  • A good understanding of the Aged Care Standards

  • A strong understanding of Nursing and Care practices

  • Ability to maintain collaborative and effective relationships with all multidisciplinary team members;

  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) - if you already have and it is under 6 months old

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role
