YOUR NEW ROLE
As a Business Development Manager you will work directly with tourism trade and corporate clients across all sectors to grow our customer base and strengthen the Sydney Opera Houses position in the market. In this role you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with existing clients and prospects conducting sales activities to drive conversion and quickly building insight into key international and domestic markets. You will be expected to contribute to sales strategy and planning by collating analysing and interpreting sales data and market intelligence to support reporting and presentation needs.
You will also be required to coordinate and deliver client-facing events such as large group bookings incentive programs and bespoke client activations to ensure high-quality experiences from end to end. This is a dynamic hands-on role that offers valuable exposure across the tourism and events landscape with the chance to contribute meaningfully to one of Australias most iconic destinations.

ARE YOU THE ONE
Key Responsibilities/skills:
Minimum 35 years experience in international tourism sales across multiple distribution channels.
Strong communication negotiation and relationship-building skills with proven ability to manage and prioritise tasks effectively.
Demonstrated strategic problem-solving and lateral thinking capabilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as Tessitura or Salesforce.
Skilled in data analysis and reporting to inform decision-making.
Collaborative team player with flexibility to work in dynamic environments including outside standard hours (up to 50 hours/week).
