alcemy was founded to reduce the massive CO2 footprint of the cement and concrete industry. Concrete is humanitys second most used material by volume and its production is responsible for around 8% of global CO2 emissions.
We are changing this! We leverage machine learning to provide smart production control software to the cement and concrete supply chain to improve efficiency and allow for the production of low-carbon cement and concrete at large scale. Our software is used 24/7 in cement and concrete plants to optimize production and reduce carbon emissions today. We are currently enabling our customers to save more than 100 000 tons of CO2 emissions each year and we aim to save 100 million tons per year in 2030.
The Opportunity
Were looking for a Global Technical Marketing & PR Managerto elevate alcemys brand and position us as a leader in the concrete industry. This role is a mix of strategic marketing industry engagement product marketing and PR helping to drive awareness build partnerships and highlight our impact in decarbonization.
The ideal candidate is a marketing and PR expert with industry experience a strong communicator in both German and English and someone who thrives at the intersection of technology sustainability and construction. The ideal candidate is analytical creative process-driven and thrives in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
What youd be doing:
Global Technical Marketing:
- Push alcemys visibility: You will promote alcemys products for cement and concrete through presentations written publications and meetings. Furthermore you will drive engagement with industry associations and key conferences creating storylines and content and managing alcemy speakers. You will expand our presence in concrete associations (e.g. GCCA VDB BTB DBV) and launch events in key regions to establish market leadership.
- Technical Expertise: You will provide technical product marketing documentation and support global sales activities and you will prepare technical case studies with convincing stories and KPIs
- Client Champion Positioning: You will highlight client success through video storytelling flyers and brochures.
- Digital Marketing: You will develop and execute bespoke digital marketing strategies and automations (web based media webinars scheduling meetings multi-language documentation) and also track the resulting lead generation and conversion.
- Market Trends: You will stay updated on market trends informing executives and aligning storytelling.
Global PRs:
- Press Positioning: You will position alcemy in global and local industry press with unique content and enhance alcemys image.
- Partner and Client Leverage: You will drive powerful co-publications with clients and partners making use of their network and our unique role in the industry
- Brand Establishment: You will establish alcemy as a leading brand in decarbonization for employees investors and the public.
Your Key stakeholders:
- Internal: working with Product Sales and Business Development to understand our value proposition and transmit this across to potential customers.
- External: Working with other Marketing Managers in the industry as well as Technical Press and Journals
Requirements
Youd be a great fit if you have:
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Marketing Business Administration Engineering in a cement/concrete-related field or a similar discipline.
- 5 years of experience in technical marketing communications or product marketing preferably in cement concrete construction or industrial materials.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in German and English.
- Experience in a technical B2B marketing role where the candidate has worked with complex products and engaged with associations or trade organizations.
- Proven track record in PR event marketing and brand positioning in a niche industry is a strong plus.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience creating polished executive-level presentations and documents.
- Proactive self-starter mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Creativity independence and the ability to think strategically.
