AWS Service Finance seeks a world class Finance Manager. This position works closely with senior business partners and finance professionals at all levels to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership on AWSs products. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with business partners to build and maintain detailed cost models by product/service - Driving the financial planning/budgeting activities - Preparing and providing financial reporting including communicating future financial risks and opportunities to the business - Developing and standardizing financial reporting - Working on ad hoc financial analyses and projects - Regular interaction with various business units across Amazon and requires strong people skills
- 5 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience - Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science) or Bachelors degree and 5 years of quantitative role (engineering process re-engineering quality assurance) experience
- MBA or CPA - Knowledge of SQL/ETL - 5 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience - 5 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards) - Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results
