Job Description
Shawsheen Valley Technical High School is seeking a School Psychologist for the 2025-2026 school year. The role of this School Psychologist will be to conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations as part of the Special Education eligibility process and to provide individual counseling as needed. The School Psychologist may also be included as a participant in Student Support Teams and MTSS/SEL Teams to assist in determining appropriate interventions through the general education model for support. This is a full-time school-year :Masters Degree or higher in Special Education Psychology and/or Counseling/Related ServicesMassachusetts DESE licensure as a School PsychologistWell developed evaluation and assessment experienceStrong ability to write comprehensive evaluation reports in accordance with federal and state guidelines with specific and individualized recommendationsExperience with and understanding of special education process and regulationsExcellent interpersonal communication skills both written and oralAbility to work effectively with a wide range of team members and providers both in and out of districtStrong organizational skills flexibility and ability to work within timelinesHas experience building rapport with adolescent studentsResponsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: comprehensive cognitive achievement and social emotional comprehensive evaluation reports for special education initial and with team members to support the development of academic goals for students with different abilities strengths needs and interventions that help students progress to their and manage evaluation scheduling to stay within accordance with state and federal regulation effectively with parents teachers related service provides and other individual counseling to students as for implementing other job-related duties as assignedSalary Range: $66400 - $108562 commensurate with Valley Technical High School in accordance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 does not discriminate on the basis of sex sexual orientation gender identity sex stereotypes sex characteristics marital status familial status pregnancy or pregnancy-related conditions and prohibits sex discrimination in any education program or activity that it operates as required by Title IX including in admission and employment.
