Cardiology/Heart Failure | Permanent Role

• Perform thorough evaluations of patients with heart failure and other cardiac conditions.
• Develop implement and adjust treatment plans based on best practices and evidence-based guidelines.
• Order interpret and follow up on appropriate diagnostic studies (e.g. echocardiograms stress testing cardiac catheterization).
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers nurses and other specialists to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on disease processes treatment options and lifestyle modifications.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to cardiology and heart failure.
• Contribute to the development of heart failure program services as needed.
• Document all clinical encounters and procedures accurately and in a timely manner.
• Remain current with developments in heart failure treatment and actively participate in continuing medical education.

• Doctorate Degree in Medicine (MD or DO).
• Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology.
• Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology certification highly preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Prior experience in heart failure management.
• BLS Certification required.
• Excellent communication teamwork and organizational skills.
