Job Description

This is a remote position.

Schedule: Monday Friday flexible within 3:00 AM to 9:00 PM CT
Total Weekly Hours: 30 hours

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist & Bookkeeper to support daily financial operations for multiple business clients. You ll process incoming bills and receipts ensure fast turnaround times and assist with reconciliation and categorization tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone who values consistency autonomy and professional growth in a remote accounting role.



Key Responsibilities
  • Process client bills and receipts within a 24-hour turnaround window

  • Accurately enter financial data into QuickBooks Online

  • Maintain organized digital records and filing systems

  • Match bills to transactions and assist with account reconciliations

  • Categorize transactions and ensure accuracy in financial reporting

  • Handle multiple client accounts while maintaining confidentiality

  • Communicate updates and questions through client portals and internal tools

  • Maintain a consistent daily schedule and meet deadlines



Requirements
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online with hands-on experience in:

    • Categorizing transactions

    • Reconciling accounts

    • Generating financial reports

  • Solid understanding of the accounting equation (debits credits assets liabilities equity)

  • Comfortable using client portals to send/receive messages and follow up on missing documents

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication

  • Experience with is a plus but not required
