Our Burleson facility is licensed as a sub-site of Texas Health Fort Worth. The Imaging Department provides Ultrasound Diagnostic CT MRI and Mammography to both Outpatients and Emergency Room patients of all ages.

  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology (required) or
  • Associate Degree (preferred)
  • 1 year radiologic technologist experience without ARRT-CT (required) or
  • No experience with ARRT-CT (required)
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) (required) and
  • ARRT -American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) (required) or
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) (if 1 year radiology technician exp) within 12 Months (required) and
  • CMRT Certified Medical Radiologic Technologists Sonography by TDH or TMB (required) and
  • BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care (required)

Position ResponsibilitiesA Texas HealthCT Techis responsible for explaining procedures to patient or guardian/family member if applicable prior to and during exam imaging correct anatomical area of interest and pathology according to department protocols and performing complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.

In addition to the required qualifications a successfulCT Techwill

  • Position requires technologist to perform both Diagnostic and CT Imaging to Emergency Room patients
  • Patient ages served varies from infancy to geriatric.
  • process and manipulate images analyze image quality troubleshoot make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed.
  • correctly send and transfer images to PACS.
  • assess and recognize the patients emotional physical developmental cognitive and psychosocial conditions.
  • operate care for and maintain equipment.
  • prepare room for examination (i.e. suction oxygen supplies).
  • administer contrast media and other medications in accordance with medication administration guidelines.
  • maintain equipment and room to sanitary standards between patients (injectors table tops floors).
