Learn how Premera supports our members customers and the communities that we serve through our Healthsource blog: an Agile Product Owner IV you will be responsible for planning and guiding work for the Customer Communications Management (CCM) team in the Customer Service Capability Product Group. In partnership with Product Managers Program Managers and engineering teams you will guide the work to maintain and enhance our customer communications services. This role will focus specifically on CCM which touches every member and provider and offers a lot of responsibility autonomy and ownership. This position is ideal for an individual with significant Product Owner experience who seeks to lead initiatives and make a substantial contribution.
What youll do:
Represent the customers perspective to the Agile team. Understand and convey business and product strategies. Bridge communication between business partners vendors and users. Demonstrate extensive domain expertise. Liaise with stakeholders by leading analysis for new products. Lead backlog refinement sessions to define the work scope.
Collaborate with the Manager Product Management and other Product Owners to develop a feature and user story roadmap. Work with business and IT partners and Agile teams to define outcomes and value. Write and refine features and user stories with acceptance criteria. Participate in solution design and development with the Agile team. Coordinate solutions priorities and dependencies with other Product Owners. Supervise user acceptance testing. Approve user stories enablers and PBIs. Facilitate demos and communicate release content and value to stakeholders. Prioritize and resolve issues by considering pros/cons risks and dependencies.
Leverage data to guide product strategy.
May lead or guide user acceptance testing with end users.
Build own maintain prioritize optimize and sequence the integrated team (PBI) backlog in collaboration with engineers and other stakeholders. Prioritize backlog of user stories in alignment with product roadmap. Collaborate with the Agile team on a regular cadence to refine the backlog. Collaborate with the Agile team to identify dependencies on other teams. Coordinate dependencies with other Product Owners in preparation for Program Increment planning. Provide guidance in assessing product opportunities and risks and utilize KPIs and metrics to optimize product.
Identify ways to improve processes and accelerate value for our customers. Identify ways to continually improve quality standards. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Mentor more junior staff within the team.
What youll bring:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Information Systems Computer Science or equivalent.
Eight (8) years of business systems analysis experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a software development environment with Agile development practices including Scrum and SAFe. Knowledge of Agile delivery models.
Previous QA experience
Experience using SQL for data analysis.
Knowledge of healthcare or health insurance industry.
Knowledge of product development tools including Azure DevOps Services Visual Studio Confluence and Product Plan.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Detailed understanding of business and product strategies within aligned domain and clearly explains them to the Agile team.

Aligns to established quality expectations and incorporates functional and non-functional quality measures into requirements; ability to define and lead user acceptance testing process.
Promotes teamwork; works well as a member of a team as well as successfully facilitate collaboration within the Agile team.
Experience defining software requirements for moderately complex products/solutions; working knowledge of analytical tools relational databases and software applications; proven ability to analyze moderately complex data and business processes.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both orally and in writing to a wide range of audiences including business and IT leadership both inside and outside the department.
Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills demonstrated ability to proactively prevent problems from occurring and work issues to resolution.
Strong facilitation skills; ability to facilitate medium to large group discussions to achieve defined outcomes; leverage a variety of facilitation techniques depending on the specific needs of the audience and topic.
Comfortable with change or uncertainty. Ability to bring clarity to ambiguous moderately complex requirements or scenarios.
Reinforces and helps build a positive Agile team culture and addresses issues that disrupt the team.

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including but not limited to a candidates geographic location market conditions and specific skills and experience.
The salary range for this role is posted below; we generally target up to and around the midpoint of the range.
National Plus Salary Range:
$119900.00 - $203800.00*National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska.
