Position at ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital - Los Angeles
ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital Los Angelesis seeking aVeterinary Doctors Assistant to join our growing Soft Tissue Department!
Our Doctors Assistants work closely with our medical teams by guiding clients through their visit with ACCESS (from history taking to discharging) helping to establish the foundation for a trusting and empathetic visit.Your responsibilities may include:
Our Doctors Assistants work closely with our medical teams by guiding clients through their visit with ACCESS (from history taking to discharging) helping to establish the foundation for a trusting and empathetic visit.Your responsibilities may include:
- Work closely with Board Certified Specialists and Emergency DVMs
- Serve the critical role of being the liaison between doctors clients and patients
- Organize/ track patient diagnostics
- Guide pet owners through discharges paperwork visits follow up questions.
- Communicate with clients referring DVMs; and pharmacies as needed regarding appointments medical concerns patient updates referrals and prescriptions
Our ideal candidates:
- Have a desire to help people and their pets
- Minimum 2 years veterinary experience in a client service role or similar role
- Must be able to read write and speak English fluently in a clear and audible voice
- A friendly and professional demeanor
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- And most importantly embody our core principles: Quality Integrity Compassion and Service
- Must be able to work 1 weekend day per week
At ACCESS we recognize the importance of those individuals taking such good care of our pets and their families by offering competitive pay starting at$21 - $24/ hour(dependent upon experience).
ACCESS Los Angeles also offersshift differentials..
Shift hours worked between:
7pm-11pm additional$2/hour
11pm-7am additional$3/hour
any shift on Saturdays and Sundays additional$2/hour
