Location: Kildare W23 X3PH
- Candidates must be willing to work from this location.
- Blended offsite/onsite working arrangement.
Contract Duration: 12 months with further extensions

Attendance Pattern:
Working within the island of Ireland is mandatory.
Minimum attendance of two days per week at the office.
Full-time Monday to Friday 8 hours per day (excluding breaks) between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Excludes public holidays observed in the Republic of Ireland.
Mandatory Requirements (Pass/Fail)
Experience Level: The candidate must have more than 7 years of relevant Database Systems Developer experience at a senior level.
Availability: The candidate must be available to commence work from 3rd November 2025.
English Language Proficiency: The candidate must be fluent in both spoken and written English.
Key Deliverable:
The following non-exhaustive list of Key Deliverables are applicable to this Role:
Development and maintenance of views code stored procedures triggers packages
Developing customised reports and system generated documents.
Coding in adherence to the Department and Oracle standards.
Performing preventative maintenance activities.
Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation.
Managing project source code and documentation.
Effort estimation & quality control of code and other deliverables.
Version control of application code.
Database tuning and performance monitoring
Troubleshooting and resolving complex database problems.
Advising on Oracle features and on best practice and optimal approach in the use of PL/SQL.
Conducting developer code reviews.
Provision of mentoring and skills transfer to CLIENT staff as and when required.
Management of DBA routine tasks e.g. roles privileges synonyms schemas objects tablespaces across multiple environments.
Writing database deployment scripts in compliance with CLIENT IMT release management standards
Development on multiple concurrent projects to strict deadlines.
Data modelling and database design.
Issue analysis diagnosis and resolution.
Writing complex PL/SQL for Oracle 19c Databases
Key Experience/Competencies/Skillsets:
The following Experience/Competencies/Skillsets are applicable to this Role.
Designing and building Oracle database schemas and ensuring their stability reliability and performance.
Oracle PL/SQL coding including but not limited to:
o Oracle Built-in Packages/Bulk Collect/lnsert/Array Processing/ Ref Cursors
o Dynamic SQL literal and bind variables
o Application Tuning
o Creation of scripts to generate views procedures functions triggers indexes constraints and packages
o Data Definition and Transaction Control Language SQL tuning and Oracle query optimisation using cost-based optimiser and other query optimisation tools.
Oracle database design & implementation of logical and physical data model.
Build and maintenance of largescale databases in a development environment.
Other
o Understand Excel spreadsheets manipulation using only PL/SQL (read and write)
o Ability to manipulate binary files (BLOB) in PL/SQL
o Programmatically read and write Json and XML using only custom PL/SQL (and explicitly not using the built-in Oracle packages/objects)
o Knowledge of JavaScript application processes and Ajax
o Understanding of APEX Themes CSS and UI customisation
