This position is placed at our office in Berlin where we apply a hybrid work model with 3 days per week at the office with the opportunity to work from home. You will be reporting directly to Head of People & Talent.
Tasks
As our HR Generalist youll be the go-to person for all things HR and office-related in our Berlin hub. Youll be responsible for:
- Managing onboarding and offboarding processes from contracts and equipment to warm welcomes and smooth exits
- Handling HR admin and documentation including employment letters and personnel records
- Maintaining accurate employee data and workflows in our HR system (Hibob)
- Maintaining and improving our HR tools and systems
- Assisting in recruitment interview scheduling reference checks and more
- Ensuring compliance with German labor laws and HR regulations
- Overseeing the daily operations of our Berlin office mail supplies vendors etc.
- Creating a welcoming well-equipped and functional workspace for the team
- Organizing team events breakfasts after works and other fun local internal initiatives
- Acting as a culture ambassador and helping bring our values to life locally
Requirements
- 23 years of HR experience ideally from a fast-paced start-up or scale-up
- Solid understanding of German labor law and HR best practices
- Fluency in both German and English
- Highly organized proactive and detail-oriented with a hands-on mindset
- Comfortable juggling multiple tasks
- Experience with HRIS systems (like Hibob) and basic recruitment support is a plus
