Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Technical Proposal Writer to join our Business Development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating compelling and compliant technical and commercial proposals in response to RFPs RFIs and EOIs from Indian and global defense agencies. This role demands a strong understanding of defense technologies proposal structuring and stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze RFP/RFI/EOI documents identify key requirements and prepare compliance matrices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering Product Legal Finance etc.) to gather technical and commercial inputs.
- Write edit and format high-quality customer-focused technical and commercial proposals that align with tender requirements.
- Ensure proposals are accurate clear persuasive and meet all submission guidelines and deadlines.
- Maintain version control and ensure consistency across all proposal sections and annexures.
- Develop and manage standard proposal content repository (e.g. company profiles case studies certifications technical write ups etc.).
- Track proposal status manage timelines and support post-submission clarifications and presentations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in proposal writing processes tools and templates
Requirements
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
- Strong understanding of defense and simulation technologies preferred.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret technical specifications and translate them into customer-facing documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Word Excel PowerPoint and formatting tools.
- Strong coordination communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple submissions simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.
Educational & Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Technology or a related field (Mechanical/Electronics preferred).
- MBA or specialization in Defense Studies / Business Communication is a plus.
- 3 7 years of experience in proposal writing preferably in the defense aerospace or technology sectors.
Preferred Background:
- Experience working on MOD tenders DPP/DPM processes Make-I/Make-II schemes.
- Familiarity with GeM eProcurement portals and international bidding processes.
- Prior exposure to technical manuals product brochures and system descriptions is a plus.
