Position Details:
Patient Transporter. PRN (as needed) Shifts and hours vary. Must be available for nights weekends and/or holidays. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed.
Non-exempt Non-union Non-benefited position.
Position Summary:
Transports EMS patients to and from facility when necessary. This position includes lifting but is not limited to lifting patients on and off stretchers/beds/wheelchairs and moving them to and from special service using wheelchairs or moveable beds. Documents transport activities and maintains cleanliness and order of various transportation related equipment such as vehicle gurneys and wheelchairs.
Requirements
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current State of Oregon Class C Oregon Drivers License Required. Maintain clean driving record. Current CPR certification or must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Must be approved to operate facility vehicles National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course or equivalent within 12 months of hire. Passenger Service and Safety Course or equivalent within 12 months of hire.
Experience:
One (1) year of experience preferred in healthcare preferred.
