Job Overview/Summary:
The Nursing Director for the Emergency Room is responsible for providing leadership direction and administrative oversight of ER nursing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills proven leadership experience and the ability to drive clinical excellence while serving as a role model and advocate for the nursing profession.
Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and direction for ER nursing staff.

Ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards.

Collaborate with other departments to improve patient outcomes.

Maintain effective communication and build team cohesion.

Manage budgets staffing and resource allocation.
Primary Skills:

Strong leadership and hospital operational abilities.

Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Expertise in emergency department workflows and nursing best practices.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Experience with hospital quality improvement initiatives.

Familiarity with EMR systems and healthcare technology solutions.
Qualifications:

Active and current Registered Nurse license in the state of residence/practice.

Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Preferred Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting as a manager full-time charge nurse or similar role.
