Cardiac Sonographer (Echocardiography Technologist)
Sign-On Bonus: $6000 for eligible external hires and rehires (conditions apply)
Status: Full-Time Includes shared call and weekend rotation

As a Cardiac Sonographer you will perform high-quality cardiac ultrasound exams assist with advanced cardiovascular procedures and play a vital role in identifying and managing cardiac conditions. Key Responsibilities
- Perform cardiac ultrasound exams as ordered by physicians using advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Identify and interpret cardiovascular pathology using in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Assist physicians during complex echocardiographic procedures including:
- Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
- Echo-guided trans-catheter procedures
- Pericardiocentesis and myocardial biopsies
- Contrast-enhanced echocardiography
- Exercise and pharmacologic stress echo studies
- Adjust imaging techniques for optimal clinical information and cost-effective outcomes.
- Comply with American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) standards and internal protocols.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and may provide coverage across regional locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Oregon Sonographer License (required upon hire)
- One of the following national credentials (required upon hire):
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- BLS certification American Heart Association (required upon hire)
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Applied Science from a CAAHEP-accredited program in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- 1 year of cardiac ultrasound experience or at least 800 completed exams across multiple modalities
- Experience in:
- Pediatric echocardiography
- Imaging support for advanced heart failure patients (e.g. mechanical assist devices)
- Echo-guided trans-catheter procedures
