The Production Controller will be responsible for executing and monitoring
daily production control activities to ensure efficient and timely
manufacturing operations. This role demands a strong understanding of
production processes manufacturing systems material flow capacity
planning and data analysis to drive operational excellence and meet
customer commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Control & Execution:
Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on
demand capacity material availability and lead times.
Coordinate with production quality planning and procurement
teams to ensure smooth flow of operations.
Track WIP (Work-in-Progress) and production orders ensuring
adherence to schedules and identifying bottlenecks or delays.
Issue and monitor production orders update order statuses and
escalate deviations as needed.
Shop Floor Monitoring & Reporting:
Monitor production KPIs (e.g. throughput OEE yield downtime)
and report on daily production performance.
Implement and maintain visual production control tools (e.g.
dashboards line boards shift reports).
Work closely with shop floor teams to understand and resolve
process issues and deviations.
Manufacturing Process Understanding:
Develop a deep understanding of end-to-end manufacturing
processes in tech. driven manufacturing setup.
Assist in developing standard work instructions and ensuring
process compliance.
Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities to
enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Data & System Management:
Utilize ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle or equivalent) for order
processing BOM tracking routing and reporting.
Ensure accurate data entry for material issuance order
confirmation and production reporting.
Generate periodic reports for planning performance tracking and
audits.
Coordination & Communication:
Coordinate closely with planning warehouse quality and
maintenance to ensure production readiness.
Act as a communication bridge between planning and production
teams to align expectations.
Support planning in revising schedules in case of breakdowns
material shortages or quality issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree/Diploma in Engineering Production Industrial
Engineering or equivalent.
Working knowledge of ERP systems and production modules (SAP
Oracle or similar).
Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing 5S and continuous improvement
principles is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving communication and project
management skills.
Preferred Industry Experience:
Background in working with CPG pharma or food & beverage and
Automobile.
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is an added advantage.
Experience:
At least 5 8 years of experience in production control manufacturing operations or planning in a plant setup.
