Job Description
- Own all accounting and financial operations across a wide range of domestic and international entities
- Manage general ledger journal entries reconciliations and monthly quarterly and annual reporting
- Oversee investment accounting across public securities (including options and derivatives) private equity hedge funds and real estate
- Track capital calls distributions and perform waterfall calculations
- Review and interpret subscription and fund documents
- Supervise a junior controller/bookkeeper and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors
- Ensure compliance with global trust structures and support trust accounting
- Maintain and enhance internal controls accounting processes and reporting accuracy
- Support operational cash management funding allocation and intercompany activity
- Contribute to ongoing optimization of proprietary reporting and accounting systems
Qualifications
- 10 years of relevant accounting experience (family office fund accounting trust/estate structures or investment firms strongly preferred)
- Strong hands-on experience with capital calls distributions and waterfall modeling
- Able to interpret fund documents and subscription agreements
- Exposure to public securities (options swaps ETFs) alternatives and private investments
- Experience with domestic and international trust structures
- CPA is preferred but not required
- Must be highly organized detail-oriented and comfortable working directly with principals
- Must have a long-tenure career history (job-hoppers will not be considered)
