You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs a Senior Quality Manager Global Aerospace Transparencies you will lead our quality operations across multiple sites in the United States and Europe. This role is important to ensuring compliance with both FAA and EASA regulations including Part 21 and in promoting a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence. This is a hybrid role based with the option to be based in Sylmar CA Grand Prairie TX or Huntsville AL reporting to the Global Quality Director Aerospace and Global Transparency General Manager Aerospace.
Key Responsibilities
Develop implement and maintain a QMS compliant with AS9100 ISO 9001 FAA Part 21 and EASA Part 21 standards.
Ensure adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements including FAA EASA and DoD standards across all sites.
Lead internal and external audits including certification and recertification processes and manage responses to findings.
Manage a team of quality professionals across multiple locations promoting professional development and performance excellence.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies to enhance quality processes and reduce waste.
Conduct risk assessments including Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate quality risks.
Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and implement data-driven improvements.
Oversee quality plans for new product introductions and process changes ensuring product safety and conformity.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in engineering Quality Management or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management with at least 5 years in the aerospace industry.
Proven experience managing quality for both commercial and military aerospace programs.
In-depth knowledge of AS9100 ISO 9001 FAA Part 21 and EASA Part 21 regulations.
Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies including SPC RCA CAPA and APQP.
Familiarity with inspection and testing techniques including NDT and CMM.
Experience using statistical software (e.g. Minitab JMP).
Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) or equivalent preferred.
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Lead Auditor certification for AS9100 or ISO 9001.
Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
US Citizenship required.
Salary Range $160000-$180000 plus annual bonus.
