Rehab Tech/Office Assistant is a role that combines both patient support and administrative duties within the rehabilitation department at Ave Maria Home. He/she will work under the supervision of rehabilitation professionals like physical therapists or occupational therapists.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assistance:Assisting with patient care which may involve helping patients with exercises and mobility preparing treatment areas and providing routine treatments like applying hot/cold packs.
Administrative Tasks:Performing a range of office support duties including scheduling appointments managing patient records handling insurance and billing paperwork and assisting with general clerical work such as answering phones and filing.
Equipment Management:Maintaining and organizing rehabilitation equipment ensuring cleanliness and proper functionality and managing supplies.
Communication:Interacting with patients colleagues and potentially families maintaining a professional and supportive demeanor.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Basic computer skills and ability to use office equipment.
Preferred:
Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting.
Basic knowledge of physical therapy techniques and equipment.
Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Work Environment:
Rehab tech/office assistant will work in various locations across campus including assisted living memory care long term care and skilled nursing facility.
