Job Summary:
This role is for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in an acute care hospital setting. The SLP will provide inpatient and outpatient speech therapy services to patients with communication and swallowing disorders. The position requires a minimum of two years of experience (new graduates with a completed Clinical Fellowship Year are considered) and involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Weekend work is required on one day per week.

Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Providing direct therapy services to patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
- Floating between units as needed.
- Participating in weekend rotations (one day per week).
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license (SLP-CCC).
- Minimum of two years of experience (exceptions for new graduates with completed Clinical Fellowship Year).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Special Considerations:
- New graduates with completed Clinical Fellowship Year are accepted.
- Floating between units is required.
- Weekend work is required (one day per week).
- On-call duties are not required.
- Block scheduling may be possible per manager discretion.
Scheduling:
- One weekend day per week is required.
- Shift type and scheduling details will be determined in consultation with the manager. Block scheduling may be considered.
