Seeking a Stormwater Senior Project Manager
Location: Colorado or Texas

Plummer is currently searching for a highly motivated Stormwater Senior Project Manager to help grow our stormwater planning modeling design and management practice in our Colorado and Florida Offices. The candidate must have a strong background in the modeling of stormwater/water resources infrastructure projects and the preparation of drainage studies and impact analyses as well as construction documents.
An opportunity with Plummer would involve entrepreneurship a water focus the ability to control your own destiny as we grow our business in Colorado and Texas and the opportunity to develop Plummer into the number one water business nationally and globally.
At a minimum the role would require strong verbal and written skills to communicate tactfully with clients staff at all levels (operations technical and executive) technically savvy with the skills and experience to lead the technical aspects of a stormwater or water resources project. The right person would enjoy seamlessly transitioning between selling and doing on a regular basis.
Your Opportunity:
As the Stormwater Senior Project Manager you will deliver technically complex stormwater and water resources projects from concept through construction. Below is an overview of the role and responsibilities outlined by the Win-Do-Manage approach.
Marketing & Business Development:
  • Provide technical leadership on strategic pursuits in Colorado and Texas.
  • Develop long-lasting partnerships with our clients understand our clients needs and challenges and provide exceptional client service.
  • Coordinate with Stormwater Team Leader and client contacts routinely to explore future opportunities budget planning and staff resourcing needs.
Technical Leadership and Project Delivery:
  • Provide project management leadership and delivery oversight for on-going stormwater modeling or design projects in Colorado and Texas and across the company as required.
  • Prepare scopes of work budgets and schedules for projects small- and large-scale projects.
  • Plan schedule conduct or coordinate detailed phases of engineering work.
  • Maintain and enhance our reputation with clients approval agencies and industry professionals as an outstanding service provider.
  • Responsible for leading the analysis and preparation of technical reports for diverse projects including open channels closed conduit systems drainage master planning reviews of proposed developments quality and quantity designs and transportation drainage design.
  • Responsible for leading the preparation of construction documents for diverse projects including project management project design construction specifications construction cost estimates bidding assistance and construction services as needed by the clients.
  • Regional flood planning preparation and review of FEMA flood studies as well as CLOMRs and LOMRs.
  • Candidate will work independently as well as oversee the work of teams of professionals and analysts will have strong communication and teamwork skills and will provide direction and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Candidate will also provide internal quality control efforts throughout the stormwater practice within areas of their expertise.
  • Candidate should feel comfortable in client interface public presentations and client interactions at all levels of project management.
  • Maintain consistently high standards of delivery quality flexibility and innovation.
Business Operations and Management (Manage):
  • Lead people by coaching and mentoring to achieve business and performance goals.
  • In collaboration with Area and Team Leaders provide input to team organizational chart roles within your team and help establish goals that align individuals career goals with the companys strategic goals.

Our Ideal Teammate:
Our ideal teammate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the A/E/C industry and expertise in Water Resources and Stormwater
We require a bachelors degree in civil engineering or comparable engineering or applied science degree) and Professional Engineer licensure. Our ideal teammate will have a firm understanding of engineering fundamentals. We are seeking a strong communicator with leadership skills and the ability to collaboratively plan problem-solve and follow-through on projects.
Qualifications:
  • 10 years experience in stormwater management/stormwater design
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (or comparable engineering or applied science degree)
  • Colorado or Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license (or the ability to become licensed in Colorado or Texas within 6 months)
  • Experience with a diverse range of software packages such as HEC-HMS HEC-RAS (steady unsteady flow and two-dimensional) Civil 3D ArcGIS ArcMap and the Microsoft office suite
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with advanced H&H modeling software including StormCAD as well as ArcGIS Pro.
  • CFM Certification and/or experience in floodplain management practices is a plus.
  • Knowledge of FEMA RiskMap Program Guidelines and Standards for Flood Risk Analysis and Mapping preliminary and post-preliminary processing and the Mapping Information Platform (MIP) is a plus.
Salary Range: $120000 - $160000
