Saint Lukes Blue Springs is looking for a Phlebotomist Lab Support Technician to support our lab team. In this role you will have the opportunity to perform blood draws and process specimens. Our lab is a multi-disciplinary and collaborative team with diverse backgrounds and experience levels which ensures our vision of being The best place to get care.   • Outpatient Lab

Responsibilities:

  • Collects patient samples in accordance with laboratorys policy procedures and regulatory standards

  • Documents receipt of patient samples in the LIS/EMR; processes and prepares samples for testing.

  • May perform and report basic laboratory testing as needed.

  • Uses education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that might interfere with accurate sample collection

  • Communicates effectively with nursing and unit staff to relay information concerning patient collections

Procedures may vary pending hospital location

We are seeking a phlebotomist/lab support technician that is confident in their skills patient focused positive and willing to go above and beyond for their patients and peers. Phlebotomy experience is preferred but not . We are looking for professionals who like to multi-task and stay busy and able to adapt to rapidly changing laboratory workflow.
