INTERMEDIATE E LEMENTARY SUMMER LEARNING
TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES
These positions will be at one of our two elementary locations: Ridgeview or Pauline Johnson.
Salary: $2830.66 for the term of the contract (40 hours of instruction)
Session Period: The instructional period is July 2nd to July 18th. All staff are required to attend the 2.5 administration and set up sessions. The dates will be confirmed upon your offer.
Session Times: 8:30am 11:55am or 8:50am-12:15pm daily. Teachers must be in attendance a minimum of 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after class.
Courses Offered: The following courses are scheduled to be offered this summer. Applications are invited from qualified internal candidates for the following proposed elementary courses:
- Grade 4 Literacy and Numeracy
- Grade 5 Literacy and Numeracy
- Grade 6 Literacy and Numeracy
- Grade 7 Literacy and Numeracy
- Grade 4 Literacy for Beginning and Developing English Language Learners
- Grade 5 Literacy for Beginning and Developing English Language Learners
- Grade 6 Literacy for Beginning and Developing English Language Learners
- Grade 7 Literacy for Beginning and Developing English Language Learners
1. The positions above are open to competition.
2. All staff placements are subject to enrollment.
3. Verification of a summer learning teaching position may not be possible until June 27 2025; after registration has been completed.

5. You will be asked to identify all of the courses and grade levels you are interested in teaching .
6. It is our expectation that should you accept a contract you are able to work all of the days in session as well as the administration day. If for emergent or unanticipated reasons you are absent you will be deducted the equivalent of one day of the contract (i.e. If the contract has 9 days you will be deducted 1/9 of the full contract)
