RN - Intermediate Care Unit (Permanent Role) Location: Dallas TX 75246
Shift: 12 HR Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Essential Responsibilities: - Perform comprehensive assessments and identify patient and family needs.
- Develop implement and evaluate individualized care plans making real-time adjustments as needed.
- Build and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.
- Educate patients families peers and the community on health conditions and care strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
- Delegate nursing tasks appropriately and ensure follow-through.
- Apply effective problem-solving techniques to clinical and interpersonal challenges.
- Recognize personal and professional limitations and uphold standards for safety quality and efficiency.
- Support peer development and demonstrate commitment to community engagement.
Key Success Factors: - Strong clinical knowledge of nursing practices patient care and relevant procedures.
- Understanding of nursing laws state/federal regulations and hospital policies.
- Competence in medical terminology and pharmacology including medication side effects and contraindications.
- Adherence to ethical standards and patient privacy laws (HIPAA).
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
- Skilled in critical thinking and real-time problem resolution.
- Basic computer proficiency including electronic medical records (EMR) Microsoft Office and email.
Minimum Qualifications: - Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
- Current and unencumbered RN license in the state of Texas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (or must obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Minimum 1 year of recent IMCU/PCU RN experience in a hospital setting in a Level I or II trauma center.
