Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for Social Science curriculum.
- Teach various Social Science subjects aligned with curriculum standards.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through tests projects and assignments.
- Encourage critical thinking and discussion among students.
- Facilitate a positive classroom environment to promote student engagement.
- Create and maintain instructional materials and resources.
- Utilize technology to enhance the learning experience.
- Communicate effectively with parents about student progress and concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary lessons.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
- Support students in developing study and research skills.
- Implement strategies for managing classroom behavior effectively.
- Adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Foster an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.
- Masters degree in Education is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Social Science.
- Strong knowledge of Social Science subject matter.
- Teaching certification specific to Secondary Education.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and tools.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience in developing assessment tools and techniques.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Proficient in classroom management techniques.
- Ability to differentiate instruction based on student needs.
- Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity.
