We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risk and Compliance team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Senior Manager Privacy
Reporting to the Head of Compliance MMC Pacific this leadership role will play a critical part in enhancing and maintaining a robust privacy framework for MMC Pacific. This is a pivotal role in fostering a culture of privacy awareness throughout the organisation and will champion the importance of privacy as a fundamental aspect of the organisations ethos.
We will count on you to:
- Provide expert pragmatic and solutions focused advice and support on privacy and data related matters to relevant stakeholders across MMC Pacific.
- Lead the enhancement of a robust privacy framework that enables compliance with relevant privacy laws and regulatory requirements across the organisation.
- Develop and deliver privacy compliance training programs and incident management protocols.
- Monitor and oversee privacy practices to ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations..
- Undertake assessments of privacy-related incidents including reportability to OAIC ensuring timely investigation reporting and resolution.
- Conduct privacy risk assessments and make recommendations.
What you need to have:
- Experienced privacy professional with proven leadership exposure in regulatory compliance or legal with experience in the Australian financial services industry preferred.
- Experience working in or providing services to a regulated financial services organisation with a strong understanding of regulatory obligations and the ability to interpret and apply associated legislative requirements.
- Ability to rapidly analyse and communicate complex matters in a commercially sensible way.
- Ability to provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders on privacy and data related matters.
- Excellent presentation communication and negotiation skills.
