Job Description

A DODO is unstoppable! We are a technology and logistics service for e-commerce retail restaurants and fast food and within a few years we have become one of the largest last-mile delivery providers in Europe. We currently operate in 5 markets where we partner with the biggest clients to help them deliver their goods to their customers as quickly as possible so our service must be one step ahead of the rest of the market. We use advanced technology and are developing our own logistics platform GAIA which facilitates real-time data collection. This enables us to deliver goods faster more efficiently and more sustainably.

Tasks

  • You identify potential new customers drive acquisition and manage the first contact customer relationship
  • Build and manage a pipeline of salespeople to meet/exceed our ambitious growth targets
  • You are in active exchange with our partners and potential customers to receive valuable feedback
  • You analyze and interpret customer needs recognize trends market requirements and potentials

Requirements

Experience & Track Record

  • 7 years of experience in B2B acquisition sales/ business development ideally in logistics or tech-enabled services
  • Proven success in selling complex customizable services (e.g. Finance solutions logistics & supply chain SaaS fulfillment or other tech solutions) to large enterprises
  • Capability to understand logistics/supply chain challenges in grocery retail or e-commerce sectors.
  • Proven ability to build and close seven-figure deals including long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders
  • Ability and courage negotiate from the position of a smaller company and less known brand against strong corporate brands

Market Knowledge & Network

  • Existing network of relevant contacts in German FMCG retail chains consumer electronics pet food fashion pharmacy or other segment of e-commerce
  • Deep knowledge of the German market particularly E-commerce
  • Knowledge of consumer insights related to German market
  • working with established companies and competitive delivery models.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong consultative selling negotiation and contracting skills.

  • Hunter mindset able to identify relevant opportunities and open new verticals

  • Performing data-driven decisions and sales tracking (CRM pipeline metrics).

  • Strong analytical skills combined with selling business cases (mathematical thinking)

  • Expert level of usage of Excel and PowerPoint

  • Regular work with AI tools

  • Excellent communication in German (C1) and English (B2).

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with bias for action and the ability to thrive in fast-paced ambiguous startup environments.

  • Hands-on approach with willingness to iterate MVPs with clients gather feedback and co-create pilots.

  • Highly self-disciplined and organized senior sales person who prefers to do the sales rather than lead a team

  • Accountability for pipeline management follow-ups and reporting without daily oversight.

  • High level of ownership and self-management reporting directly to the Country Manager

  • Hunter with sleeves rolled-out who focuses on goal and deliveries
