A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PURCHASING COORDINATOR
As a Purchasing Coordinator you will receive purchase requests create Purchase Orders (PO) and send them to the correct vendor. You will review confirmations for accuracy and scheduling of materials for delivery. This position troubleshoots issues with suppliers including recovery from late orders and rejected products. Process returns and vendor credits for damaged or defective products. You will build material quotes for the sales team as needed. Keep sales team informed of part numbers and anticipated ship dates or other issues as pertains to orders. Review information with a high level of detail to catch prevent and correct order receiving and inventory errors.
