Join Fishs Minneapolis team in our fast-paced Human Resources Department as a Senior Human Resources Generalist.
How Will You Make a Difference
- Provide hands-on HR consulting and coaching to managers on employee performance coaching tools and fundamentals retention strategies and compensation.
- Interpret and apply firm personnel policies and employment laws to ensure compliance and consistency across the firm.
- Manage key HR projects including compensation surveys immigration processes (e.g. work authorizations permanent residency applications) and more.
- Develop and refine HR procedures to improve efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance; educate and support managers in implementation.
- Track and report on key HR metrics such as turnover engagement and performance trends to inform continuous improvement efforts.
- Conduct internal fact-finding and investigations ensuring thorough and coordination with outside employment counsel as needed.
- Collaborate with Benefits to ensure compliance with FMLA ADA HIPAA COBRA and other employment regulations.
- Maintain and update firm-wide job description library partnering with managers to create and revise as needed.
- Help reinforce the firms culture through consistent HR practices and thoughtful communication.
What Will You Bring to the Table
- Strong knowledge of human resources at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelors degree in human resources business or a related fieldor equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR Generalist experience in a professional services environment.
- Solid understanding of compensation practices and employment law compliance at both state and federal levels.
- Strong problem-solving communication and presentation skills; able to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to build trust resolve conflicts and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to work in the Minneapolis office at least 2 days per month with flexibility for occasional additional in-person needs.

- The salary range for this position varies by geographic market. In Minneapolis the estimated starting pay is $80000 - $115000 per year. Final compensation will be based on a variety of factors including education experience skills professional background overall qualifications and location.
