At GE Aerospace in Vandalia we specialize in manufacturing and servicing world-class power generation and electrical control and distribution equipment for a variety of aerospace customers. Vandalia is also home to a product development lab where operators and engineers work together to invent the future of flight.
The Warehouse Coordinator will work in a team environment to facilitate the movement of parts on the shop floor to the correct designated area and will have additional responsibilities including cycle count coordination inventory accuracy kitting process and shipping position will be responsible for tasks in both Stockroom and Shipping.
Job Description
Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate the distribution of materials products parts and supplies to customers or coworkers based on information from incoming requisitions and update in the computer system accordingly.
- Coordinate the inventory stocking and pick process in stockroom in a safe orderly and accessible manner; keep material organized for easier access for all stockroom associates.
- Oversee daily cycle counts or inventory counts on random parts; verify inventory counts by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies and adjust errors.
- Weekly chemical/shelf-life inventory; ensure all expired chemicals are pulled from the shelf transacted in the system and disposed of properly.
- Submit and process shipments in customer systems; coordinate with customer representatives to resolve any shipping issues.
- Complete safety checks and audits of work area.
- Be an active participant in/leader of continuous improvement projects related to material stocking handling and flow.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or High school diploma/GED from an accredited school or institution
Additional Information
- Ability to sit onsite at the facility in Vandalia OH 5 days per week
