Job Description
This is a remote position.
Wea are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS and ECS) to join our team.
Responsibilties:
- Enjoy simple and well crafted solutions. You likely feel that people often make things more complicated than they need to be.
- Enjoy uniformity and abhor having 3 different approaches to do the same thing.
- Enjoy automating tasks once they are well understood but not before.
- Enjoy collaboration but can drive the team to make decisions and are not easily blocked.
- Are a student of coding best practices and strive to improve your software development skills.
- Likely have a CS (or similar) degree and have held a Software Engineer title in the past but this is not required.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g. EC2 ECS Lambda RDS IAM VPC etc).
- Strong python coding skills with knowledge of package management options and challenges.
- Strong IaC knowledge - Terraform and Pulumi experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience building and managing CI/CD workflows - preferably with CircleCI and Guthub Actions.
- Experience with SQL databases.
- Experience with additional programming languages (especially Java and js) is a plus.
- Experience building internal tools used to help the business run more efficiently is a plus.
- Experience working with data management pipelines is a plus.
