We are seeking an experienced and proactive Energy Specialist to join our chemical production site in Helsingborg Sweden. In this key role youll help shape the energy performance and sustainability outcomes of both our local operations and the broader Kemira Group. You will also work closely together with your colleagues at local EHSQ organisation and be a valuable resource within the team.
Our unique energy system enables us to be largely self-sufficient generating surplus energy for sale making this position critical to both environmental impact and economic results.

The team works towards becoming world-class in EHSQ through setting global standards impacting behaviors making constant improvements and increasing awareness.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Act as the sites subject matter expert for all energy-related matters.
- Ensure regulatory compliance including alignment with the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS).
- Collaborate closely with local teams and act as the link to Kemira Groups energy management framework.
- Identify and drive initiatives to enhance energy efficiency reduce emissions and support long-term sustainability goals.
- Analyze technical economic legal and strategic energy issues in line with Kemiras corporate strategy.
- Monitor and report on energy performance regulatory changes and risk factors.
What youll bring to the team:
- A Masters or Bachelors degree in Engineering ideally with a focus on energy systems sustainability or a related discipline.
- Understanding of the EU ETS and its practical application.
- Preferably experience in industrial energy management.
- Strong proficiency in Swedish and English both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SAP is a plus.
- Clear confident communication skills you can simplify technical information for different audiences.
- A proactive independent mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
- A broad interest in energy topics youre a curious generalist who sees both the big picture and the small details.
