Safety Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Specialist to join our team. As a Safety Specialist you will be responsible for ensuring a safe work environment for all employees while promoting safety best practices.
Wage: $40.62/hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop implement and maintain safety policies procedures and training programs.
- Investigate accidents and incidents prepare reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Monitor workplace activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and recommend improvements as necessary.
- Provide safety training and guidance to employees fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Serve as a liaison between management and employees regarding safety matters.
- Stay updated on federal state and local safety regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote safety initiatives and foster a safe working environment.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety Environmental Science or a related field.
- Certification in safety management or a related discipline (e.g. CSP CIH) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety-related role preferably in a similar industry.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful safety programs.
- Experience in conducting safety audits and workplace inspections.
