You will collaborate with colleagues families and administrators to ensure that all students with disabilities receive the services and support necessary to achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:Working with and for Students:Plan and deliver differentiated standards-aligned instruction in small-group individualized and inclusive support across core content areas in an inclusion setting using a push-in with grade-level teams to modify lessons assignments and assessments to meet student plan and/or co-lead Service-Learning projectsCo-teach Social-Emotional learning curriculum for the Lower School once a weekDevelop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that include measurable data-driven goals aligned with student and analyze data to monitor progress toward IEP goals and quantitative progress reports at the end of each progress reporting and implement student-driven Transition Planning Forms (TPFs) for students aged 13 and common academic and behavioral procedures to ensure a structure respectful and achievement-oriented environment conducive to student outcomesInput academic and behavioral data on the school data management systemAnalyze student data and monitor student progress through standards-based assessmentsIf qualified conduct academic testing write comprehensive evaluation reports and present findings at IEP eligibility with and for Families:Facilitate ongoing communication with families to provide updates on student progress and address IEP meetings and help ensure parent input and collaboration in developing plans for student in Parent/Teacher/Student with and for ColleaguesConsult and collaborate with general education teachers guiding IEP implementation and best practices for teaching diverse learners with colleagues to ensure inclusive classroom participate in weekly professional development sessions and grade-level IEP meetings including annual reviews and progress updates in partnership with the Team Chairs and the Managing Director of Student clear and consistent communication with school leadership regarding student needs and team guidance support and direction to paraprofessionals working with special education students and special education liaisons (if you possess a license).Who You AreWe are looking for a skilled educator who is passionate about supporting diverse learners. The ideal candidate will:Have at least 1-3 years of experience teaching Special Education and a strong understanding of culturally responsive deeply committed to student outcomes with the ability to create student-centered learning environments that respond proactively and reactively to students academic and social-emotional values-aligned sharing SACSs commitment to community equity and high experience fostering effective inclusion practices and building positive classroom and school degree (required).Demonstrated subject matter competence through at least one year of teaching Teacher Certification in Special Education or successful completion of relevant MTELs (required).Experience designing and implementing IEPs including measurable goals and in collecting and analyzing data to drive instructional organizational and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with families students and but not required:Multilingual including PhD or EdD in a related designing and implementing a culturally responsive experiences are similar to those of SACS UsSalem Academy Charter School is committed to the professional growth of its staff and the success of its students.
