Primary Purpose:
Assist the school principals and designated campus-testing coordinators in the direction supervision and management of the testing program at the campus level. Provide instructional leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service. Assists with the implementation and coordination of testing programs to ensure student academic success. Provide leadership and coordination to an aligned and articulated instructional assessment accountability and data analysis program for the district.
Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Education related field
3 years classroom experience
Education/Certification:
Masters Degree in Educational Leadership preferred
Texas Teaching certificate required
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of state testing and accountability programs
Experience administering STAAR/EOC TELPAS College Board and ACT assessments
Experience:
Campus level testing experience preferred
3 years teaching experience

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Examine campus district and state assessment data focus on trends with regard to teachers teams programs or processes and demographics to assist in decision making and action planning.
- Communicate on a regular basis with special education LPAC 504 and RTI committees/personnel to ensure accurate test and accommodation assignments.
- Utilize technology to maintain accurate State testing information and support online testing program.
- Maintain security of all testing materials before during and after each testing cycle.
- Collaborates with campus administrators and others in the support of state-mandated testing programs national testing programs and district assessment programs.
- Supervises the appropriate accurate and ethical administration of standardized assessment activities.
- Trains campus staff to appropriately administer the instruments used in state and district testing activities.
- Collaborates with district level departments in the training and reporting involved with the state-developed STAAR assessments specific to special populations to ensure requirements are met for proper test administration and results reporting.
- Coordinates the distribution and return of testing materials as required.
- Serves as the primary contact at the campus level for all matters related to test security and confidentiality. Follows state and district rules and guidelines for the resolution of issues in these areas.
- Reads all testing coordinator directions and applicable manuals governing the administration of the student assessment program.
- Participate in on-going training and development activities offered by the district.
- Assist in monitoring instructional and managerial processes of special programs to ensure these students receive the correct testing instrument and accommodations.
- Demonstrate knowledge and ability to interpret PEIMS data and supervise the accuracy of PEIMS reports for the department.
School/Organizational Climate:
- Provide instructional resources and material to support teaching staff in accomplishing instructional goals for all students.
- Foster collegiality and team building among campus staff. Encourage their active involvement in the decision process.
- Provide for two-way communication with principal staff students parents and community.
- Communicate and promote testing program expectations for high-level performance to the staff students and parents.
School/Organizational Improvement:
- Identify analyze and apply research findings to facilitate improvement in the area of student performance.
- Assist in the development maintenance and use of appropriate information systems and records necessary to ensure campus compliance.
- Assure that student test results are distributed to parents based on state and district timelines.
Personnel Management:
- Assist in the interviewing recommendation and orientation of new staff as requested by the principal.
- Communicate expectations for staff performance record observations and conduct evaluation conferences with assigned staff.
- Ability to investigate document and submit formal incident reports and memorandums.
Administrations/Fiscal Facilities Management:
- Comply with district policies and state and federal laws and regulations affecting schools.
Student Management:
- Conduct conferences with parents students and teachers concerning school and student issues in regards to the campus testing programs.
Professional Growth and Development:
- Use information and insights provided through assessment instruments the district appraisal process evaluative feedback and professional development programs to improve performance.
- Provide leadership in addressing challenges facing the profession; pursue professional development activities; disseminate ideas and information to other professionals.
- Observe professional ethical standards in accordance with generally accepted community standards and the Texas Education Agency Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.
School/Community Relations:
- Articulate the districts missions to the community and solicit its support in realizing its mission.
- Demonstrate awareness of school/community needs and initiate activities to meet those needs.
- Use appropriate and effective techniques for community and parent involvement.
- Demonstrate behavior that is professional ethical and responsible.
- Understand and adhere to ethical behavior while overseeing the security required by the TEA/District for all state-mandated assessment programs.
