Job Title: Revenue Collector

What You Will Do
- Enforces the Towns Business License and Taxation Ordinances
- Investigates and documents compliance with business license hospitality tax accommodations tax and beach preservation fee ordinances
- Investigates and searches for unlicensed businesses and tax accounts
- Contacts existing businesses regarding license renewals and tax account deadlines
- Audits unlicensed and licensed businesses to determine that proper payment has been made
- Determines defensible estimates of amounts owed by non-compliant businesses
- Collaborates with Public Safety with enforcement efforts related to the Towns Business License and Taxation Ordinances;
- Collects outstanding audit balances of taxes and penalties per Towns Ordinance
- Processes NSF checks in accordance with the Towns policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Associates degree and three (3) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Drivers license.
