Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Hackney to assist with the appointment of a Customer Administration Officer on a 4-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 20.30 - 27.60 per hour

Summary:

To provide business efficiency finance and administrative support to the Housing Service Department. This covers a wide range of areas including general & financial administration personnel administration recruitment health and safety system management correspondence logging and management facilities management as well as supporting and facilitating corporate plans for inspections by the Social Housing Regulator.

Responsibilities:

  • To prepare relevant paperwork to enable managers to commence the recruitment process. Liaise with the Recruitment Team and assist in facilitating the effective coordination of recruitment processes through liaison with hiring managers recruitment agencies candidates and Human Resources.
  • Manage and maintain an accurate effective central record systems drafting letters and general responses reports and perform other related administrative duties as instructed by the line manager.
  • Log all correspondence including complaints subject access requests and freedom of information enquiries in accordance with corporate procedures.
  • To assist the BEAT Manager with the maintenance of centralised record keeping across the division e.g. the overall collation of staff returns(confidential and sensitive) collation of information for reports for management on the effective monitoring and management of staff sickness and staff training.
  • To assist in the preparation and maintenance of the staff profiling system

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience of Office administration and able to demonstrate good level of experience
  • To demonstrate high level of administration functions including being able to maintain a good quality of work output and
  • To demonstrate a high level of taking and distribute accurate minutes/notes
  • Experience of working in a financial environment and budget monitoring
  • Demonstrate an excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers and any other parties

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent administration skills
  • Good use of written and verbal communication (including note and minute taking)
  • Able to work on own initiative to manage and prioritise own workloads
  • Ability to work flexible as part of a team
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to shifting service needs

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
