Job Description

JOB GOAL:To fulfill Harmony Mission and Goals at the campus level by planning and implementation of student and family engagementprograms to support each and every student on the path to college and career success. Creates a college going atmosphere atelementary-middle and high school settings by supporting all stakeholders in their efforts to promote develop and maintain collegeand career awareness and exposure QUALIFICATIONS:o Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or universityo Minimum 1 year of teaching professional or administrative experience (preferred)DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:o Understands and supports the mission vision and values of Harmony Public Schools.o Believes and supports that there is a 4-year college/university for every student regardless of their socio-economic statusor background and all students are capable of going to a 4-year college or universityo Works effectively as a member of the College and Career team at the campus and attend all the meetings s/he is requiredto attend.o Supports all stakeholders in their efforts to promote develop and maintain college and career awareness and exposureprograms on campus.o Maintains a collaborative team with consistent communication flow to all key stakeholders and teammateso Participates in and effectively prepare for regular one-on-one check-ins with Dean of College and Careero Assists students/parents in understanding school mission and vision regarding postsecondary educationo Promotes and coordinates campus student engagement programs such as extracurricular activities clubs athleticsstudent organizations and mentorship.o Organizes campus wide yearlong exploration and expedition programs such as camps trips summer leadership andSTEM camps.o Promotes and coordinates campus multicultural festivals foreign language competitions talent shows and student &family engagement events.o Participates in summer-melt intervention by supporting seniors during summertime via text messages phone calls homevisits orientation events booth camps etc...o Supports and attends appropriate college and career activities and events organized in the campus/districto Promotes students transition from elementary to middle and middle to high school.o Contributes to campus College & Career access and success goals.o Coordinates campus family engagement and recognition programs such as home visit (HPS PATH) Parent AcademiesParent of the Year K12 family education and awareness programs and trips.o Promotes student safety by implementation of HPS volunteer management programo Serves as liaison for campus PTO and maintain successful PTO relations.o Supports campus to resolve student success and engagement program related concerns and problems.o Provides student success and engagement related training and workshops to staff parents and students.o Ensures accurate collection and submission of campus student success and engagement data.o Meets with the Principal and Dean of College and Career for effective implementation of student success andengagement goals.o Communicates with all stakeholders about school events and programs in a timely manner.o Reports regularly to campus admin team district officials on the progress of campus goal attainment.o Meets regularly with stakeholders and keeps meeting minuteso Completes Texas OnCourse trainings during his/her first yearo Performs other duties as AND ABILITIES:o Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of management both internal and externalto the district.o Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internal and external to the district.o Ability to use computer including software database used by the district spreadsheet and word processing softwarecalculator copy machine and telephone.o Ability to analyze data and generate reports.o Ability to use effective interview techniques effective public speaking skills and problem-solving skillsWORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:o Light Work: may require the occasional light lifting.o Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required.o Position is in office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location.o Moderate travel is required.
