Position: Senior Assistant HR Manager

About the Role

As Senior Assistant HR Manager at RIU Palace Phuket you will play a crucial role in the pre-opening team of our new resort contributing to delivering an exceptional team experience from day one. This role is ideal for a passionate and enthusiastic human resources professional with strong interpersonal skills a keen understanding of labor legislation and a deep commitment to developing team members.


What Youll Do

  • Support the implementation of all human resources processes and policies for the new hotel from recruitment and onboarding to training and performance management.
  • Manage and oversee the full recruitment process from job postings candidate sourcing and interviewing to selecting the best talent for each department.
  • Provide guidance and support to department heads and supervisors on employment legislation discipline conflict resolution and workplace policy implementation.
  • Manage and coordinate administrative tasks related to employment benefits payroll and health care plans for team members.
  • Assist in the processing and administration of work permits and visas for international team members.
  • Prepare analyses and reports such as labor cost reports retention metrics or training participation.
  • Lead team engagement activities and propose creative initiatives to celebrate team spirit and foster a strong cohesive workplace community.

    • What Were Looking For

      • At least 5 years of relevant human resources experience preferably within the hotel or tourism industry.
      • Skills: Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills; a deep understanding of employment legislation and practices; ability to handle sensitive information with discretion; a team-oriented approach; and a passion for developing talent.
      • Education/Certifications: Degree in Human Resources or related discipline (desired but not essential).
      • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
