Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team here at Sunshine Minting Inc.!

This position is housed on-site at our Henderson Nevada location.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each of essential functions/duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare review and post journal entries and monthly accruals
  • Reconcile bank accounts credit card statements and general ledger accounts
  • Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Account Receivable including vendor/customer communication
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules and depreciation
  • Lead Month End Close process
  • Assist in preparing financial statements
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends discrepancies and opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as needed
  • Maintain documentation for accounting procedures and internal controls
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes with historical data and analysis
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Sales Operations and HR to ensure proper expense allocations
  • Accounting projects for specialty reporting as needed
  • Update cash report on a weekly basis
  • All other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must be able to attend work regularly; be on time and be reliable. (This is an in-office position).
  • Excellent phone skills spelling grammar and command of the English language. Good basic math skills
  • Knowledge and use of operations of standard office equipment at a level generally acquired through 2 years related experience
  • Ability to use and understand a variety of computer software applications in word processing spreadsheets database and others as needed
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Some analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports find solutions to various problems and prioritize work
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must maintain a professional upbeat energetic appearance and attitude

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associates degree (AA) in Accounting or Business and/or two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in a manufacturing or production environment

Experience in SAP or other ERP systems

Experience in Paychex or other virtual payroll systems

Knowledge of inventory cost accounting or multi-entity accounting a plus


LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read write do basic math and communicate effectively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:

Seeing: 75-100% of the time.

Hearing: 75-100% of the time

Standing/Walking/Mobility: 50-74% of the time.

Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 25-49% of the time.

Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 25-49% of the time
