Job Description

SENIOR CLERK SCHOOL SECRETARY 19

General Statement of duties and responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Principal Clerk School Secretary and using appropriate technology serves as secretary to a schools Main Office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Using current technology assists the Principal Clerk School Secretary with the preparation of correspondence reports and notices.

2. Greets and assists visitors in a professional manner.

3. Maintains confidentiality of records communications and information as appropriate.

4. Maintains files.

5. Answers the telephone and general inquiries in a professional manner and redirects calls and inquiries where appropriate.

6. Assists with sorting and distributing mail.

7. May operate office machines.

8. Performs related duties of a similar nature as requested by supervisor which are commensurate with job classification.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalency
  2. Basic computers skills including word processing and e-mail
  3. Ability to access and use the Internet
  4. Good communication skills

Current authorization to work in the United States - Candidates must have such authorization by their first day of employment
