Position Summary:
The Violence Prevention Program Coordinator will be responsible for research design implement coordinate and assess primary interpersonal violence (IPV) prevention programming and initiatives informed by current research expert consensus promising practices in the field and aligned with the Womens Resource & Action Centers mission vision and values. This position will also be responsible for one of the following areas: 1) direct Certified Peer Education program; 2) manage the Womens Resource & Action Centers assessment initiatives; or 3) develop and implement campus violence prevention outreach initiatives including the annual Take Back the Night event.
Specific Job Duties & Tasks:
- Plan develop and implement IPV prevention programming supporting the Centers mission vision and values.
- Direct and manage the Certified Peer Educator (CPE) program and/or direct and manage the Centers assessment initiatives.
- Develop and refine training methods and content informed by current research and practice in the field of anti-violence work relevant academic disciplines and professional organizations; conduct literature reviews and analyze theoretical models from appropriate academic disciplines.
- Develop and implement assessment strategies for IPV prevention initiatives.
- Provide consultation and guidance to instructors on curricular integration of interpersonal violence (IPV) prevention education.
- Provide consultation and guidance to other campus professionals on development implementation and evaluation of IPV prevention education and programming.
- Provide direction assignments feedback coaching and counseling of students and student staff to ensure quality and effectiveness of violence prevention work in which they are engaged.
- Provide direction to support staff.
- Monitor expenditures related to program activities.
- Research and prepare funding proposals to external funders; maintain records and comply with funders reporting requirements.
- Develop and coordinate activities of Violence Prevention team including assessment planning assignment of responsibilities for specific initiatives tracking and reporting training activities.
- Initiate and coordinate collaborations with other campus units to develop and deliver educational programming.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience (typically three to five years) with related program development and evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience and ability co-creating and maintaining a welcoming and respectful environment for all.
- Extensive experience (typically one to three years) in training and managing volunteers and/or student staff/trainees.
- Demonstrated working ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communicate behaviors.
- Experience training mentoring and supervising student peer educators.
- Demonstrated proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software applications (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint) and online training platforms (Skype Zoom).
- Working knowledge of and ability to utilize various methods to deliver learning solutions for desired training outcomes as a trainer and/or teacher for college populations.
- Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Training and/or certification in bystander intervention and other violence prevention education modalities.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Public Health Social Work Higher Education/Student Development Gender/Womens Studies or other related field.
- Professional work experience (typically one to three years) in interpersonal violence services and/or prevention.
- Formal training and/or certification as a Sexual Assault or Domestic Violence Advocate.
- Linguistic and cultural fluency in more than one culture / language.
