Primary Purpose:
Coordinate/Coach the development delivery and implementation of MATH curriculum initiatives and educational opportunities; collaborate with stakeholders in education and the community to organize and promote interdisciplinary Math activities that are aligned with Texas content area standards and provide enhanced experiential learning opportunities for all students.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Masters degree preferred from an accredited college/university
Current Texas Teaching Certificate in Math
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficiency with curriculum software
Desire to continue career improvement
Experience
Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience
Experience in researched-based instructional practices

- Provide support in analyzing student assessment data.
- Assist teachers with designing instructional decisions based on assessment data.
- Assist teachers with specific classroom activities when requested.
- Provide support for classroom motivation and management strategies.
- Assist teachers in creating materials that are in alignment with curriculum.
- Monitor intervention programs by observing and meeting with teachers.
- Provide teachers Internet links related to instruction and curriculum.
- Instruct and support teachers with curriculum software products and classroom/curriculum related technologies.
- Provide assistance in researching instructional and/or curriculum issues.
- Model lessons when appropriate.
- Provide encouragement and emotional support to teachers.
- Encourage ongoing professional growth for all teachers.
- Manage time and schedule flexibility that maximizes teacher schedules and learning.
- Work positively toward meeting identified district and building improvement goals.
- Assist with implementation of district curriculum instruction and assessments.
- Develop and maintain a confidential collegial relationship with teachers.
- Possess an understanding of when to contact administrators regarding issues of safety/ethics involving students in classroom observed.
- Attend workshops/conferences to learn about new innovative instructional strategies.
- Understand that job responsibilities may vary related to each buildings needs.
- Ensure confidentiality regarding all district-related matters.
- Complies with district policies as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
- Adhere to the districts safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Maintain emotional control under stress work with frequent interruptions. Tight timeline pressures; hectic pace; working on several projects at once; working with diverse population. Constant contact by phone and in person with the public and school district employees. Continuous sitting standing bending stooping and wrist flex extension. Administrative office environment. Some districtwide and statewide travel. Prolonged and irregular working hours.
