Job Description
The Part-Time Welding Program Assistant will provide essential support to the Welding Instructor and students in the NightHawks Adult Education training program. The assistant will help with classroom and lab setup material preparation equipment maintenance and provide individual student support under the direct supervision of the instructor.
Tuesday (4-8pm) Thursday (4-8pm) and Saturday (8am-12pm). 12 hours per week.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in various welding processes (e.g. MIG
- TIG Stick/SMAW Flux-Cored Arc Welding) is highly preferred.
- Prior experience in a teaching training or mentorship role is a plus but not required.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g. AWS Certifications) are highly desirable.
- OSHA-10 HotWorks safety certifications are highly recommended.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of welding safety practices and procedures.
- Proficient in the use and maintenance of welding equipment and hand tools.
- Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds stand for extended periods and work in a shop environment with potential exposure to fumes and noise (with proper ventilation and PPE).
